NVIDIA RTX Spark gets SEGA games 30 years after NV1
© NVIDIA/Wccftech NVIDIA says SEGA will bring games to computers powered by its new RTX Spark processor. Virtua Fighter Crossroads is the first title named as part of the agreement.
NVIDIA Vice President Deepu Talla confirmed the plans during a press briefing. Talla said that “ all of SEGA’s games are coming to RTX Spark, ” although neither company has provided a full list of supported releases.
From NV1 to RTX Spark
The announcement comes around 30 years after NVIDIA and SEGA began working together. NVIDIA’s NV1 graphics accelerator supported the PC version of the original Virtua Fighter, while the companies also worked on graphics hardware intended for a SEGA console.
That console project did not continue. However, former SEGA President Shoichiro Irimajiri approved a $5 million payment to NVIDIA as an equity investment. The funding gave NVIDIA time to move away from NV1 and develop the RIVA 128, followed by the GeForce 256 in 1999. We covered that in previous article .

NVIDIA announced RTX Spark at Computex 2026 as a Windows PC processor for AI, creation workloads, and gaming. The chip combines a 20-core Grace CPU with a Blackwell RTX GPU offering up to 6,144 CUDA cores. Systems can also include up to 128GB of unified memory and support NVIDIA technologies such as DLSS, Reflex, and G-SYNC.
RTX Spark uses an Arm-based CPU, but NVIDIA and SEGA have not explained whether their games will receive native Arm64 versions or use Windows translation.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads is scheduled for release in 2027, but no launch date or list of other SEGA games for RTX Spark has been confirmed.
