The development team behind RPCS3, the open-source PS3 emulator for Linux, macOS, and Windows, has just announced in a post on X that the emulator can now play 75% of the PlayStation 3's game library, which accounts for 2,681 games of the console's 3,559 published games, according to the official compatibility list .

Notably, there are no games on the compatibility list that have zero compatibility, and only 0.06% of the platform's games are "Loadable," which means they initialize but only load a black screen. 1.69% of PS3 games are rated "Ingame", which means they make it into the game, but won't load past the menu, and 22.93% of PS3 games are playable to some extent but cannot be completed due to some game-breaking bug or poor performance.
