NVIDIA App rolls out high-frame-rate ShadowPlay recording
NVIDIA has released NVIDIA App 11.0.8 with support for ShadowPlay recording at up to 240 FPS. The recording option is available on GeForce RTX 40 and GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards.
This isn’t new feautre if you already used beta software. The feature first appeared in the NVIDIA App 11.0.8.244 beta released on June 1. As we explained earlier, graphics cards equipped with two NVENC encoders can record at up to 4K and 240 FPS, while single-NVENC models are limited to 1440p at the same frame rate.
How to record
Users can configure the recording mode by opening the NVIDIA overlay with Alt+Z and selecting Settings, followed by Video Capture. The higher recording rate can provide more source frames for slow-motion footage or gameplay analysis.
© NVIDIA NVIDIA App 11.0.8 also adds two controls for NVIDIA Surround configurations. Users can restrict the Windows taskbar to one display or maximize a window across all connected displays. Both options are available under System, Displays and Surround.
DLSS Updates
DLSS Override support has been added for 17 applications and games. The list includes ‘83, Active Matter, Bus Bound, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, Dawn of Defiance, Far Far West, INDUSTRIA 2, MONGIL: STAR DIVE and MOUSE: P.I. For Hire. It also includes NTE, PRAGMATA, Samson, Screamer, Subliminal, Sudden Strike 5, Twinmotion and Windrose.
NVIDIA has added optimal settings profiles for Cairn, Crimson Desert, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH, Marathon, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and Nioh 3. Profiles are also available for PRAGMATA, Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, Resident Evil Requiem, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin and Windrose.
