ASRock calls $249.99 Arc B570 a special price, but MSRP is $219

Everyone likes a GPU promotion, especially when graphics card pricing remains unpredictable. However, not every advertised deal represents an actual saving. ASRock has announced a one-day promotion for its Intel Arc B570 Challenger 10GB OC graphics card. The company described the Newegg offer as a special price available only today.

At the time the promotion was published, Newegg listed the card for $229.99, reduced from $264.99. The retailer advertised a saving of $35, or 13%.

The problem is that Intel launched the Arc B570 with a recommended price of $219. The ASRock Challenger model was also originally available for $219.99, so the promotion lists the card at a $10 higher price right now.

Also keep in mind, Newegg incorrectly describes the card as using a 192-bit memory interface. ASRock and Intel both confirm that the Arc B570 uses a 160-bit interface. The ASRock Arc B570 Challenger uses 18 Xe cores and has a 2600 MHz GPU clock. It includes 10GB of 19 Gbps GDDR6 memory connected through a 160-bit interface, along with three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs and one HDMI 2.1a connector.
