AMD Ryzen 500 “Medusa Point” Zen6 10-core chip leaked score now 28% above Zen5 HX 370

AMD Medusa Point 10-core APU leaks again but with higher score

AMD’s 10-core Medusa Point engineering sample has appeared in Geekbench again with its highest score so far. The processor reached 3,329 points in the single-core test and 16,555 points in the multi-core test.

The chip is listed on the AMD Plum-MDS1 platform under the same 100-000001713-33_N engineering sample identifier seen earlier this month. Geekbench reports 10 cores and 20 threads divided between two clusters with four and six cores.

The previous result from July 8 reached 3,174 single-core and 15,092 multi-core points. The new entry is therefore 4.9% higher in single-core and 9.7% higher in multi-core performance. The earlier sample used Geekbench 6.6.0 for Windows with the AVX2 test path.

Much faster than Strix Point

Compared with Geekbench’s current Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 averages, the Medusa Point sample scores 28% higher in single-core and 24% higher in multi-core. Against the 10-core Ryzen AI 9 365, the differences increase to approximately 35% and 33%, respectively. Geekbench currently lists the HX 370 at 2,605 and 13,397 points, while the Ryzen AI 9 365 averages 2,469 and 12,409 points

Detailed benchmark telemetry reportedly shows the engineering sample reaching a peak frequency of around 5.37 GHz. This is more plausible than the 2.00 GHz base and 2.06 GHz maximum values displayed in the previous result summary, which did not reflect the processor’s actual operating frequency. The listing also reports 10MB of L2 cache and 32MB of L3 cache.

Medusa Point is expected to introduce AMD’s Zen 6 architecture to its next mobile Ryzen generation. The processor name, final clock speeds and power limits remain unconfirmed. What we do know is that it should launch as Ryzen 500 SKU.
