Buyer orders one Intel Core i5-14400, Amazon delivers a full box of five
© masamine_s A Japanese Amazon customer received five Intel Core i5-14400 processors despite ordering and paying for only one. The buyer shared a photo showing five retail CPU boxes and wrote that the unexpected delivery had left them surprised.
The shipment may have contained an unopened distribution carton intended to hold five individual processors. One reply suggested that the warehouse may have scanned a barcode printed on the outer carton and treated the entire package as a single product. This explanation has not been confirmed by Amazon.

Buyer returns 4 extra CPUs
Many users responding to the post advised the buyer to keep quiet, wait or sell the additional processors. Others shared similar cases where retailers had delivered several identical products after receiving an order for one.
The buyer did not follow that advice. According to the discussion, they contacted Amazon and arranged to return the four processors that had been delivered by mistake.
The Core i5-14400 is a 65W LGA1700 desktop processor with six Performance cores, four Efficient cores and 16 threads. It includes 20MB of cache and reaches a maximum P-core boost frequency of 4.7 GHz.
This leaves the customer with the single processor he originally ordered. So what would you do in this situation?
