Acer confirms Predator Atlas 8 UK pricing, starting at £999
Forget about cheap Arc G3.
When I first wrote about the non-Extreme Intel Arc G3 processor, I thought Intel might finally have an affordable option for gaming handhelds. Well, I couldn’t be more wrong. MSI, OneXPlayer and now Acer have attached premium pricing to Arc G3 systems, with prices starting at around $1,300 or more. Safe to say that ARc G3 pricing is simply ridiculous.
Acer’s record in the handheld market is already mixed. The company has announced more devices than it has shipped, without explaining what happened to some models. It has now confirmed pricing for the first handheld with the standard Arc G3 processor. Acer is also the only company to announce a non-Extreme Arc G3 handheld so far.
The Predator Atlas 8 does not use an OLED display, but the entry model still costs £999.99 in the UK, or around $1,340 before regional taxes and pricing adjustments. This version includes 16GB of memory, a 512GB SSD and a 60Wh battery. A 24GB configuration with the same storage and battery costs £1,099.99.

© ACER The Predator Atlas 8 Extreme starts at £1,299.99. It uses the Arc G3 Extreme processor with 24GB of memory, a 1TB SSD and an 80Wh battery. Acer will also offer a 32GB version for £1,499.99, which converts to around $2,010.
The 32GB configuration was not included in Acer’s original specifications. The main product page still lists up to 24GB of LPDDR5X-7467 memory, while the UK registration page now confirms the higher-capacity model.
Arc G3 and G3 Extreme
Intel Arc G3 uses Arc B370 graphics with 10 Xe3 cores, while Arc G3 Extreme uses Arc B390 with 12 Xe3 cores. Both processors have 14 CPU cores, including two P-Cores, eight E-Cores and four Low Power E-Cores.
All four configurations feature an 8-inch 1920 × 1200 IPS touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, VRR support and up to 500 nits of brightness. Other specifications include Wi-Fi 7, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, UHS-II microSD support and Windows 11.
Acer has opened priority registration rather than full pre-orders. The company plans to launch the Predator Atlas 8 in October, but it has not confirmed pricing for the United States, continental Europe or other regions.
