Thermaltake AX 3200W and SilverStone HELA 3000Rz support four 12V-2×6 connectors
© Thermaltake & Silverstone Thermaltake and SilverStone have listed new power supplies designed for multi-GPU workstations. The Thermaltake AX 3200W offers 3200W of continuous output, while the SilverStone HELA 3000Rz is rated for 3000W. Both models provide four native 12V-2×6 connectors.
Thermaltake’s AX 3200W complies with the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. Each of its four 12V-2×6 cables is rated for up to 600W. The PSU also provides nine PCIe 6+2-pin connectors, two EPS connectors, 16 SATA connectors and eight peripheral connectors.
The AX model uses a single 12V rail rated for 266.6A and 3199.2W. It carries an 80 PLUS 230V EU Internal Platinum certification and uses Japanese 105°C capacitors. Cooling is handled by a 140 mm dual ball-bearing fan. The enclosure measures 150 × 86 × 200 mm.
SilverStone’s HELA 3000Rz also complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe Gen 5 standards. Its single 12V rail delivers the full 3000W at up to 250A. The fully modular unit includes four 12V-2×6 connections, four EPS connectors, seven PCIe 8-pin connections, eight SATA plugs and four peripheral connectors. It uses a 135 mm dual ball-bearing fan and measures 150 × 86 × 200 mm.
Neither PSU is designed for a standard North American 120V outlet. Thermaltake specifies a 230V to 240V input, while SilverStone lists an operating range of 180V to 264V. Pricing and retail availability have not been announced.
SilverStone previously released the 2500W HELA 2500Rz with the same number of 12V-2×6 connectors. The HELA 3000Rz increases the rated output by 500W while retaining the same 200 mm depth.
