Microsoft brings original Xbox games to PC with 4x resolution upscaling
© Microsoft Microsoft has launched Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC in early release. The program begins with four original Xbox games available through the Xbox app on Windows 11 PCs and supported handheld devices.
The first batch includes BLiNX: The Time Sweeper, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and Fuzion Frenzy . Microsoft says more original Xbox games will be brought to PC over time, although it has not named the next titles.
All four games are available for purchase on PC and included with every Xbox Game Pass plan. Players who already own a digital console license can access the PC version without buying the game again through Xbox Play Anywhere.

4X the resolution
The PC releases support up to 4x resolution upscaling , VSync, anisotropic filtering and enhanced anti-aliasing. Players can also select fullscreen or windowed display modes and customize language and audio settings.
Microsoft plans to add Achievements to select original Xbox games on both PC and console later this year. The four games released today are scheduled to receive Achievement support within the coming months.
The minimum requirements list a GeForce GTX 950, Radeon RX 550, Intel UHD 770 or Arc A310 GPU. Systems also need a four-core Core i3-8100, Ryzen 3 1200 or Ryzen Z2 A processor, 8GB of memory and Windows 11.
Microsoft recommends a GeForce GTX 1070 Ti or Intel Arc A770 alongside a six-core Core i5-10400, Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme. The official announcement lists a “Radeon RX 68005,” which does not correspond to an existing AMD GPU and appears to be a publishing error. I’m going to assume they meant RX 6800 non-XT.
