MSI’s 40th anniversary laptop costs $7,000 and includes Batman
MSI has launched the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic, a 40th anniversary gaming laptop priced at $6,999.99. The company apparently believes there is still a market for a portable PC costing as much as an used car.
The special edition was first shown at Computex 2026 without pricing. MSI has now listed the system through its US store, while Amazon Germany offers it for €7,799.
$7,000 gets you an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU
The laptop uses an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and a GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB of GDDR7 memory. It also includes 96GB of DDR5 memory, one 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD and a second 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Putting this much memory into a gaming laptop definitely was a choice.
© MSI MSI equips the system with an 18-inch MiniLED panel running at 3840 × 2400 and 120Hz. The display carries VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The chassis also includes two Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7 and a 99.9Wh battery.
The Batman code should settle it
The Dragon Edition uses engraved artwork and an anodized metal finish. MSI also includes a limited-edition coin, gaming mouse, mousepad and a code for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
MSI has chosen a difficult time to find buyers willing to spend $7,000 on a laptop, but anyone still unconvinced can apparently be persuaded by a mousepad and some Batman.
