Radeon RX 9050 launches 10.6 TFLOPS performance, just a bit faster than PlayStation 5 GPU

AMD has officially added the Radeon RX 9050 to its Radeon RX 9000 desktop graphics lineup. The company has now published the card’s complete specifications and its own 1080p gaming performance results.
The official listing follows Radeon RX 9050 announcements from Sapphire and ASRock earlier today. AMD confirms that the card uses 8GB of GDDR6 memory and has a 92W typical board power.
Radeon RX 9050 has 1,024 Stream Processors
The Radeon RX 9050 features 16 Compute Units, 1,024 Stream Processors, 16 Ray Accelerators and 32 AI Accelerators. The GPU has a 1,920 MHz game clock and boosts up to 2,600 MHz, providing 10.6 TFLOPS of FP32 compute performance.
© AMD This gives the RX 9050 half as many Compute Units and Stream Processors as the Radeon RX 9060 XT. It also has 12 fewer Compute Units than the RX 9060, which uses 1,792 Stream Processors and reaches 21.4 TFLOPS.
The RX 9050 carries 8GB of 18 Gbps GDDR6 across a 128-bit interface. This provides 288 GB/s of memory bandwidth, matching the RX 9060. The card also has 32MB of Infinity Cache, one 8-pin power connector and a 450W minimum PSU recommendation.
AMD publishes 1080p performance figures
AMD claims 96 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, 131 FPS in Forza Horizon 6, 85 FPS in Pragmata and 60 FPS in 007: First Light at 1080p using medium settings. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is listed at 116 FPS.
The company also reports 227 FPS in Counter-Strike 2, 206 FPS in Rainbow Six Siege and 593 FPS in Valorant. Valorant is the only game in the chart marked as using high settings. AMD does not provide the test platform or state whether upscaling or frame generation was enabled.
© AMD AMD has not officially announced an MSRP for this card yet, but according to Hassan Mujtaba (Wccftech) , the card should cost $279 and it would be limited to certain markets (Asia-Pacific, Japan and Latin America).
