AMD confirms 4GB Radeon RX 9050 was designed for one partner system
AMD has confirmed that the Radeon RX 9050 4GB is a real graphics card, but it will remain limited to OEM systems. The company says it developed the variant for a specific partner PC and currently has no plans to sell it as a standalone card.
The confirmation was provided to Hassan Mujtaba following the discovery of a CyberPowerPC desktop equipped with the previously unannounced 4GB configuration. According to AMD, the card was designed to provide strong overall value for entry-level gaming customers.

4GB card was designed for one partner system
The known system is the CyberPowerPC Gamer Master GMA6600BST sold through Best Buy. It combines the Radeon RX 9050 4GB with a Ryzen 5 5500 processor, 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 500GB SSD. The desktop is currently listed for $889.99.

Standalone cards use 8GB memory
Partner cards announced by ASRock and SAPPHIRE use 8GB of GDDR6 memory. ASRock’s Challenger model features 1,024 stream processors, 16 compute units, an 18 Gbps memory speed and a 128-bit interface.
AMD has not published the full specifications of the 4GB OEM version. According to the now-removed ASRock listing, the 4GB model would only feature a 64-bit memory bus.
Looking at the bright side, if you somehow stumble upon this special 4GB model, you may consider yourself lucky given how rare it is.
