GMKtec moves Fire Range into a compact desktop
© GMKtec GMKtec has announced the NEO-X1 series, a compact MoDT gaming desktop built around AMD Ryzen 9000HX processors and desktop NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards. The system uses a 14.6-liter chassis with an integrated liquid cooler and an 850W fully modular 80 Plus Gold power supply.
MoDT, or Mobile on Desktop, combines a mobile processor with a desktop motherboard and discrete graphics card. Both NEO-X1 configurations use AMD’s 16-core Fire Range processors, which support 32 threads and boost clocks of up to 5.4 GHz.
The standard NEO-X1 combines the Ryzen 9 9955HX with a desktop GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB. It starts at 11,999 yuan, or around $1,772 and €1,559 before taxes based on current exchange rates.

© GMKtec NEO-X1 Pro adds 3D V-Cache and RTX 5070
The NEO-X1 Pro upgrades the processor to the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and uses a desktop GeForce RTX 5070 with 12GB of GDDR7 memory. The X3D processor has 128MB of L3 cache, compared with 64MB on the standard Ryzen 9 9955HX. The RTX 5070 has 6,144 CUDA cores, a 192-bit memory interface and a 250W reference power rating.
This configuration starts at 16,499 yuan, equivalent to around $2,437 or €2,144 . GMKtec says the custom motherboard uses a 13-phase power design and supports up to 160W of processor power delivery. The system also provides two PCIe 5.0 SSD slots, 2.5GbE networking and Wi-Fi 7. Memory and storage configurations have not been confirmed.
The NEO-X1 series will soon become available through GMKtec’s official store. The company has not announced availability or pricing for other regions.
