Intel adds five Core Ultra 300 “Panther Lake” industrial processors with HR and RE suffixes

Intel documents five 25W Panther Lake processors for industrial systems

Intel has listed five Core Ultra Series 3 processors that are absent from its standard mobile lineup. The official quick reference guide names the Core Ultra X7 358HR, Core Ultra 7 366HRE, Core Ultra 7 365RE, Core Ultra 5 336HRE and Core Ultra 5 335RE . These Panther Lake processors target edge and industrial systems rather than regular consumer laptops.

The suffixes follow Intel’s naming for embedded processors. Intel defines H as a high-performance mobile model and E as embedded. The company does not define R on its current Core Ultra naming page, but previous HRE processors are classified as Industrial Extended Temp products . This indicates that HR and RE identify Panther Lake variants qualified for industrial operating conditions.

All five processors have a 25W base power and Intel vPro support. The Core Ultra X7 358HR is the only model equipped with 12 Xe graphics cores, matching the GPU configuration of the standard Core Ultra X7 358H and its Intel Arc B390 integrated GPU. The four remaining processors use smaller four-core Xe graphics configurations.

Intel has not provided final clock speeds for these models. Each processor is still listed with an “x.x GHz” frequency in the quick reference guide. The CPU, graphics and PCIe configurations otherwise correspond closely to the existing 358H, 366H, 365, 336H and 335 models.

Extended-temperature Panther Lake processors

Intel says select Core Ultra Series 3 edge processors support operating conditions ranging from -40°C to 100°C. The company also lists continuous operation and up to 10 years of product availability for qualified industrial models. Intended uses include robotics, factory automation, medical hardware, transportation systems and smart-city equipment.

Individual Intel ARK pages for the five R-suffix processors are not yet available. However, the Core Ultra X7 358HR already appears in Intel’s Open Edge Platform requirements and in documentation for an industrial Panther Lake module from TRIA. Intel has yet to confirm the final frequencies and complete feature sets for each model.
