First 3D PS5 games launch with playable framerate on PC through KytyPS5 emulator

PS5 emulator Kyty runs XIII at 30 FPS and TMNT at up to 24 FPS

PlayStation 5 emulation has reached the point where several fully 3D games can now enter gameplay on PC. Kyty has reportedly launched XIII and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants, although neither game runs without performance or rendering problems.

XIII currently runs at around 20-30 FPS. The game displays real-time 3D graphics and accepts player input. Textures, lighting and parts of the environment do not render correctly, so the “playable” classification should be treated as an early compatibility status rather than a complete experience.

XIII PS5 Emulation on PC

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants appears to work better. The game renders its 3D characters and environments with fewer visible errors, but performance remains limited to around 22 to 24 FPS. One thing to note is that the game crashes during the first launch but can continue without further crashes after restarting the emulator.

These demonstrations put Kyty ahead in publicly shown 3D gameplay. The emulator had previously reached menus, videos and early rendering stages in games such as Grand Theft Auto V, but XIII and Wrath of the Mutants provide clearer examples of PS5 software running beyond static screens and prerecorded footage. Meanwhile, official screenshots showing other 3D games show very low framerates:

Race between PS5 Emulators

SharpEMU is progressing along a different path. Its developers are working on lower-level Vulkan corrections and renderer optimizations, including image layout transitions, GPU command synchronization and texture handling. These changes are intended to fix an issue that prevents Astro Bot from reaching gameplay and may improve compatibility across other PS5 titles. Kyty currently has the stronger gameplay demonstrations, but the two independent projects are now in a race to improve PS5 emulation on PC.
