Bethesda recently directly addressed some community concerns following aggressive Xbox Game Studio layoffs that appear to be affecting as much as 25% of the studio's staff . In the announcement, Bethesda confirmed that its main focus was The Elder Scrolls VI, however, it seems as though one of the other projects it has been working on may be another game in The Elder Scrolls universe.
While it's not clear what exactly the studio is working on, it was revealed in the LinkedIn profile of a former Bethesda Associate Quest Designer, Griffin DeClaire, that Bethesda is working on an "unreleased Elder Scrolls" title. Since The Elder Scrolls VI has been public knowledge for over eight years, this suggests that there is an Elder Scrolls spin-off in development at Bethesda. It's also possible that DeClaire is just being overly cautious by avoiding naming The Elder Scrolls VI.
