Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 tested in an HP workstation

AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 has appeared in the Geekbench 7 database. The Gorgon Halo processor was tested inside an HP ZBook Ultra G3a 16-inch Mobile Workstation with 96GB of memory.
The processor scored 2,593 points in the single-core test and 26,816 points in the multi-core benchmark. Geekbench recorded a peak frequency of 5,207 MHz, matching AMD’s official boost specification of up to 5.2 GHz.
The Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 retains the 16-core and 32-thread configuration of the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395. Its base clock increases from 3.0 to 3.1 GHz, while the maximum boost receives a 100 MHz increase.

Geekbench currently lists the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with an average single-core score of 2,432 points. The new 495 result is 6.6% higher. Its multi-core score is 31.3% above the 20,431-point ranking result for the Ryzen AI Max+ 395.
This is not a direct comparison between two systems using the same settings. Geekbench processor rankings combine user-submitted results from multiple devices, power limits and cooling configurations. The larger multi-core difference may therefore reflect the HP workstation configuration rather than the processor upgrade alone.
We previously reported a Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 PassMark result that placed the processor around 3% ahead in single-thread performance and 4% ahead in CPU Mark. AMD has since confirmed that the processor uses 16 Zen 5 cores, Radeon 8065S graphics with 40 compute units, a 45W to 120W configurable TDP and support for up to 192GB of unified memory.
