HP OmniBook 5 14 reaches $2,000 with Core Ultra 9 and 3K OLED
© HP HP has started selling the Intel Panther Lake version of its OmniBook 5 14 in the United States. The configurable laptop supports three Core Ultra Series 3 processors, including the 6-core Core Ultra 5 322, 8-core Core Ultra 7 355 and 16-core Core Ultra 9 386H.
Up to Core Ultra 9 386H and 32GB memory
The base configuration pairs the Core Ultra 5 322 with 16GB of onboard memory and a 256GB PCIe SSD. The Core Ultra 7 355 is available with 16GB or 32GB, while the Core Ultra 9 386H is paired with 32GB. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
All three processors include an Intel AI Boost NPU. HP lists 46 NPU TOPS for the Core Ultra 5, 49 TOPS for the Core Ultra 7 and 50 TOPS for the Core Ultra 9. The 386H reaches up to 4.9 GHz and includes 18MB of L3 cache.
3K OLED reaches 1,100 nits in HDR
The standard display is a 14-inch 1920×1200 OLED panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 300-nit brightness and full DCI-P3 coverage. A touch version adds Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The highest option increases the resolution to 2880×1800 and supports up to 120 Hz, 500 nits in SDR and 1,100 nits in HDR.
The OmniBook 5 14 includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5 mm audio connector. Buyers can select Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.4 or Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 6.0. HP also includes a 1080p IR camera, a 59 Wh battery and a 65 W USB-C GaN power adapter. The laptop weighs approximately 1.33 kg.
HP offers Meteor Silver, Glacier Silver, Sahara Silver and Starlit Blue finishes. Pricing was reported to start at $1,299, while a configuration with the Core Ultra 9 386H, 32GB of memory and the 3K OLED display exceeds $2,000. Availability is currently limited to HP’s US store.
