ASUS Brings A Floating Structure To Prime AP304 Case For Superior GPU Cooling And Panoramic View Through Curved Side Panel

The AP304 brings an innovative design that cools the components faster while delivering breathtaking views.

There is a lot to talk about the new ASUS Prime AP304 mid-tower chassis. First of all, it looks similar to the Cougar CFV235 PC case , which I reviewed last year. Both cases bring a floating design for the upper chamber, allowing cool air from the bottom through the space. This is generally useful for the graphics card, which doesn't get access to cool air directly.

ASUS says that its Prime AP304 has a patented slot vent that also supports a triple-fan configuration on the side that pulls cool air from the bottom. However, one can also install fans at the bottom, similar to the CFV235 PC case, for superior cooling. We also have an LED light band like the Cougar case that can be controlled using Aura Sync software.

That said, the Prime AP304 has a distinguished design for a panoramic view that is achieved through the curved tempered glass side panel. This basically gives you a clear vision of the interior from both sides without any distraction. This is why the front panel cooling has been shifted to the side, which can support a triple-fan configuration or an AIO. There are more slots to install AIOs, like the top and the rear, with support for up to 360mm coolers.

Another notable feature is the presence of a patented graphics card slot clamp on the rear, which helps in installing the GPU effortlessly. All you need to do is deploy the GPU into the PCIe x16 slot and use the clamp to secure the GPU without any screws. A reinforced graphics card bracket is available inside the case to enhance the stability of the GPU and can support GPUs up to 360mm long. Still, the case has enough clearance to allow up to 420mm-long GPUs.

At the back, the AP304 provides nearly 33mm of clearance for easy cable management and a dedicated routing area that can hold together all the cables neatly. That area also holds two slots for installing 2.5" SSDs for those who want to expand the storage with traditional SATA drives.

The ASUS Prime AP304 will be available in both white and black color schemes. Still, the company hasn't disclosed details on its pricing and availability.
