Lenovo’s first Googlebook devices leak ahead of fall release

Lenovo is reportedly preparing at least two laptops and a detachable 2-in-1 tablet for Google’s upcoming Googlebook platform. The first renders show several devices carrying Googlebook branding and design elements not found on Lenovo’s current Windows models.

The images were published by Android Headlines ahead of the platform’s expected introduction this fall. Google announced Googlebook during Google I/O as a new laptop platform involving hardware partners such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo.

Lenovo prepares laptops and detachable tablet

The leaked image shows two conventional Lenovo laptops alongside a tablet with a removable keyboard. The detachable model includes Googlebook lettering below the keyboard and a dedicated key carrying Google’s “G” logo instead of a Windows key.

The tablet appears to include four speakers with Dolby Atmos branding. The render also shows stylus support and a single rear camera. Lenovo’s laptops use raised webcam sections similar to the reverse-notch design already found across several of the company’s existing product lines.

Both laptops appear to include USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports. All three devices also feature a narrow illuminated strip, although its purpose remains unknown.

New mouse includes dedicated AI button

Lenovo is also reportedly preparing a wireless mouse for the Googlebook devices. The accessory includes a dedicated AI button and an illuminated strip matching those visible on the laptops and tablet.

Specifications and product names have not leaked. Google may provide more information during its August 12 Made by Google event, although a separate announcement around IFA 2026 in September is also possible.
