Xbox Series prices go up in Europe, Series S now costs €499, as much as Series X at launch

Xbox Series X now costs €799.99 in Europe, Series S rises to €499.99

Microsoft has activated its latest Xbox console price increase across Europe. The official German Microsoft Store now lists the Xbox Series S 512GB at €499.99 and the 1TB model at €599.99. The Xbox Series X Digital Edition costs €749.99, while the model with a disc drive has reached €799.99.

The new prices took effect on August 1. Microsoft previously announced worldwide increases of $100 for 512GB consoles and $150 for 1TB models. However, the European adjustments reached €150 for the 512GB Series S and €200 for every 1TB console.

The table uses the European launch price of each model. The original Series S and Series X arrived in November 2020 for €299.99 and €499.99. The 1TB Series S followed in September 2023 for €349.99, while Microsoft released the Series X Digital Edition in October 2024 for €499.99.

Current Series S pricing

The 1TB Xbox Series S has received the largest increase relative to its launch price. It now costs 71.4% more than it did in 2023. The 512GB Series S is 66.7% above its original price, while the disc-based Series X costs 60% more than at its 2020 launch.

UK prices have also increased. Microsoft now lists the Series S 512GB at £429.99, the 1TB Series S at £519.99, the Series X Digital Edition at £619.99 and the disc-based Series X at £669.99. The 512GB model increased by £130, while each 1TB console increased by £170.
