MSI reveals 27-inch 4K OLED monitor with real-time panel compensation
© MSI MSI has announced the PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12, a 27-inch monitor using an inkjet-printed OLED panel supplied by TCL CSOT. MSI describes it as the first 27-inch IJP OLED monitor combining a 4K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The monitor was presented at ChinaJoy 2026. MSI has not confirmed a release date, regional availability or pricing.
RGB stripe layout targets clearer text
The 3840×2160 panel has a pixel density of 164 PPI. It uses a regular RGB stripe subpixel layout similar to the structure used by LCD panels. MSI says this layout reduces the colored edges around text and fine interface elements that can appear on some OLED panels. The display covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space and has a factory color accuracy rating of Delta E ≤ 2.

Inkjet-printed OLED production deposits dissolved organic light-emitting materials directly onto the panel. This allows manufacturers to create separate red, green and blue subpixels without relying on the same fine metal mask process used for many existing OLED panels.
TCL CSOT previously introduced a mass-produced 21.6-inch 4K professional IJP OLED display . Its technology also entered the laptop market with the 16-inch 240Hz panel used by Lenovo’s Legion R9000P. The MSI monitor extends the same panel technology to a 27-inch desktop format.
OLED compensation runs in the background
MSI has added its OLED Auto Care system, which uses Data Counting Compensation to adjust the panel while it is operating. According to MSI, this process runs in the background without interrupting use with maintenance prompts or scheduled compensation cycles.
The panel also has an anti-glare coating rated at 3H surface hardness. MSI claims this offers 2.5 times the scratch resistance of its previous 2H coating. The company has not confirmed the monitor’s warranty terms or whether burn-in coverage will be included.
© TCL The monitor includes a KVM switch, Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes. It also supports USB-C with 15W Power Delivery, which is intended for smaller devices rather than charging a performance laptop at full power.
MSI lists a fully adjustable stand and support for separate SDR and HDR display settings. The press release does not provide the complete HDMI, DisplayPort or USB configuration. From what I can see, there’s no product page either.
