HWiNFO prepares per-chip GDDR6 temperature monitoring for AMD Navi GPUs
HWiNFO is preparing per-chip VRAM temperature monitoring for AMD Navi GPUs. The feature appears in the software’s upcoming changes list, although the developer has not assigned it to a specific release.
Separate temperature readings for each memory chip
The new sensor mode should expose temperatures from individual GDDR6 packages instead of providing only a general memory temperature reading. This may help users detect uneven temperatures caused by thermal pad contact, mounting pressure or cooler design.
HWiNFO has not confirmed which Radeon generations will expose the additional sensors. The changelog refers broadly to AMD Navi GPUs, so technically this could mean Radeon RX 5000, 6000, 7000 and 9000 series.

The same upcoming changes list includes per-chip VRAM temperature monitoring for NVIDIA GPUs equipped with GDDR6X or GDDR7 memory. HWiNFO is also adding GPU hotspot reporting for NVIDIA Blackwell graphics cards. This is something that was unlocked by modders and developers just a few weeks ago and now it’s basically making its way to stable release.
The upcoming update also adds recognition for the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP and Radeon RX 9050. HWiNFO has not shown how the separate VRAM sensors will be named or arranged in the monitoring window.
