Lenovo Googlebook 15 reportedly shown in full renders with Google key and Android-style UI

Lenovo’s rumored Googlebook 15 has appeared in a new set of detailed renders. Digital Citizen claims it obtained the full press image package, but Lenovo has not announced the laptop or confirmed its specifications. The device appears to be part of the first Googlebook lineup expected later this year.

The 15-inch laptop has a light silver chassis with large speaker grilles on both sides of the keyboard. There is no number pad, so the keyboard and touchpad sit in the center of the chassis. A dedicated Google key replaces the usual Windows key, while another key combines Caps Lock with the app launcher.

Renders show Android-style software

The desktop shown in the renders uses a status bar at the top and a rounded taskbar at the bottom. Visible shortcuts include Gemini, Chrome, Gmail, Google Calendar, YouTube, Google Photos, Google Play and Canva. One icon also appears to represent Adobe Premiere.

The sides appear to include two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, HDMI and a 3.5mm audio connector. Another opening may be a card reader. The renders also show a raised webcam section with a physical privacy shutter, Dolby Atmos branding and a hinge that reportedly opens to 157.5 degrees.

The processor, display resolution, memory, storage, battery capacity and price remain unknown. Digital Citizen expects Lenovo to show the laptop around IFA in September, but this has not been confirmed.

As revealed earlier, Lenovo has more than one Googlebook in development, so the 15-inch model may be joined by other designs.
