GIGABYTE GPU price revision may affect existing unshipped orders in Japan
South Korea is not the only market facing GPU price hikes. Japan is also affected, and this time a distributor is specifically attributing the increase to Gigabyte.
Gigabyte graphics card prices are increasing in Japan, according to a notice published by hardware distributor CFD Sales. The revised prices apply to orders placed through its CFD-BIZ wholesale platform from August 1, 2026.
CFD expects affected products to cost between 120% and 140% of their previous prices. This translates to a price increase of 20% to 40%, depending on the model. The distributor did not publish a list of affected graphics cards or their updated prices.
© CFD-BIZ CFD-BIZ is a wholesale platform for corporate customers, so the notice does not confirm that every Japanese retailer will apply the same increase. Retail pricing may also depend on existing stock, individual distributors and store margins.
Existing orders may also be affected
CFD warned that some outstanding orders placed before August 1 may not be fulfilled at their original prices. The distributor may contact customers to discuss cancellations when it cannot secure unshipped products under the previous pricing.
The notice does not state that all pending orders will be cancelled. Each affected order will be handled individually, depending on supply and the revised pricing from Gigabyte.
The announcement follows recent price increases tracked for selected GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards in South Korea . Those figures were based on Danawa listings from late July and early August, where prices were also affected by stock levels, local distributors and participating retailers.
Worth adding that the annoucement does not mention GeForce or Radeon GPUs specifically. Technically, Gigabyte makes both, plus the Intel Arc series.
