GIGABYTE’s 1600W AI TOP PSU supports up to four GPUs and has a color display, but no “AI” in sight

GIGABYTE puts AI TOP branding on its 1600W Titanium PSU with dual 12V-2×6 power

GIGABYTE has officially launched the AORUS P1600W 80+ Titanium Modular PCIe 5.1 AI TOP power supply. The unit was first shown at Computex 2026 and targets high-end gaming PCs, workstations and local AI systems with several graphics cards.

The 1600W power supply includes two native 16-pin to 16-pin PCIe cables . These can deliver up to 600W to two graphics cards. GIGABYTE also includes two dual 8-pin to 16-pin cables, allowing the PSU to power as many as four GPUs at up to 300W each. This means the four-GPU claim does not cover four cards operating at the full 600W limit.

1600W power supply in a 160 mm chassis

The AORUS P1600W measures 150 × 160 × 86 mm, making it shorter than many power supplies with the same output. GIGABYTE uses GaN MOSFETs to increase power density and leave more internal space for cooling. The PSU also features Japanese capacitors, a digital power design and a single +12V rail.

Power supply has a color screen but you can’t play on it

The unit complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 specifications. It is rated for power excursions reaching three times the GPU load and twice the total system load. Its 80 PLUS Titanium certification specifies up to 94% efficiency at a typical load.

AI TOP branding without an AI processor

The PSU has no onboard AI processor or AI-controlled power feature. The AI TOP branding instead connects it to GIGABYTE’s range of hardware validated for sustained local AI workloads. Integration with the AI TOP Utility lets users monitor PSU consumption alongside other system information while running AI models.

A built-in Edge View LCD provides the most useful monitoring feature. It can show real-time PSU output, current, temperature and fan speed. For systems running two or four GPUs, the display also provides a direct reminder of how quickly total power consumption can reach four-digit figures.

Cooling is handled by a 140 mm double ball bearing fan with a semi-passive mode. The fan can briefly reverse its direction at startup or through software to remove accumulated dust.
