NVIDIA offers QuakeCon visitors the rare chance to buy RTX 50 cards at MSRP
© NVIDIA NVIDIA has found a ‘generous’ new way to attract visitors to its QuakeCon booth. The company will allow attendees to purchase GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Founders Edition graphics cards at their official MSRP, while supplies last.
The company calls this “Verified Priority Access IRL.” Everyone else may know it as visiting a physical event for the rare opportunity to purchase a product at the price NVIDIA announced when it launched, times barely anyone remembers now.
If you’re attending this year’s event between August 6th and 9th, head to the GeForce booth ASAP to get in on the action. NVIDIA has not officially confirmed that RTX 50 pricing and availability have become worse. Instead, it has confirmed that finding these cards at MSRP is now valuable enough to promote as a QuakeCon attraction alongside competitions, giveaways and prizes.
Visitors who cannot secure an actual graphics card may still leave with physical GeForce Trading Cards . The collection covers 14 moments from GeForce history and appears to be the last type of “card” anyone shopping for a GPU wanted to see right now.
QuakeCon 2026 runs from August 6 through August 9. NVIDIA will also give away RTX 5070 Founders Edition cards through gaming challenges and award RTX 50 GPUs during its PC modding contest, meaning winning one may still be easier than finding one at MSRP outside the event.
