Japanese retailer warns RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 restocks are unstable, tells buyers to hurry

RTX 50 cards sell quickly in Japan after reports of further price increases

Japanese retailer Sofmap says GeForce RTX 50 graphics card sales increased sharply following the latest reports about price hikes and supply problems.

According to the retailer, GeForce RTX 5070 cards are already selling for more than 110,000 yen in Japan. Prices are also rising for the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080.

RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 supply may become less predictable

Sofmap claims future shipments of the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 may not arrive consistently. The retailer advised customers who already plan to buy one of these cards not to delay their purchase.

The post follows a notice from Japanese distributor CFD Sales , which confirmed Gigabyte graphics card price revisions of around 20% to 40%. The new prices apply to orders placed through the distributor from August 1. CFD also canceled existing orders that could not be fulfilled under the previous pricing.

Sofmap is also directing buyers toward used graphics cards. The retailer offers members a three-month warranty covering initial defects, presenting second-hand models as a cheaper option while new card prices continue to rise.
