ASUS GPU Tweak III V2.1.7.2 improves per-pin power monitoring

ASUS has released GPU Tweak III version 2.1.7.2 for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The update focuses mainly on Power Detector+, the company’s monitoring feature for graphics cards equipped with per-pin power sensing.
The updated interface now lets users choose what the 6-pin Power Detector+ section displays continuously. It can show either the overall connector status or real-time amperage values for the individual pins.
Power Detector+ gets new display options
Power Detector+ is available on selected ASUS graphics cards including ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 models. The feature monitors current passing through individual 12V-2×6 power connector pins and can warn users about uneven current distribution.
Previously, GPU Tweak III controlled how some of this information was presented. Version 2.1.7.2 gives users the option to keep either the overall 6-pin status or live current readings visible.
© ASUS ASUS has also fixed an issue affecting some platforms where the minimum recorded current for Power Detector+ pins could incorrectly appear as 0 in the monitoring window. The company also says GPU Tweak III should now start faster.
The new release is version 2.1.7.2 and has a download size of 112.98 MB. ASUS published the update on August 7, 2026 through its graphics card support pages.

Additionally, it improves GPU Tweak III’s startup speed and resolves a minor display issue regarding minimum pin values on certain platforms.
