GIGABYTE relaunches B760M DDR4 motherboard with PCIe 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6E
B760M GAMING returns with Gen5 support.
GIGABYTE has introduced the B760M GAMING WIFI6E DDR4 GEN5, a refreshed motherboard for Intel’s LGA1700 platform. The model combines DDR4 memory support with a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
The board is based closely on the existing B760M GAMING DDR4. Both models use a 6+2+1-phase power design, two DDR4 memory slots and two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 connectors. The older board is limited to PCIe 4.0 for graphics and does not include wireless networking.
© Gigabyte The refreshed version replaces the primary slot with a reinforced PCIe 5.0 x16 connector. GIGABYTE has also added Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth alongside the existing 2.5GbE wired network controller. The board supports 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors.
Two DDR4 slots and no Gen5 storage
Memory capacity is limited to 64GB across two DDR4 DIMM slots. The two M.2 connectors continue to use PCIe 4.0, so the Gen5 upgrade applies only to the graphics slot. Other connectivity includes four SATA ports, rear USB-C at 5Gbps, DisplayPort, HDMI and D-Sub outputs.
© Gigabyte The motherboard also includes PCIe EZ-Latch, Q-Flash Plus and GIGABYTE’s combined Wi-Fi antenna connector. The specifications make it a budget-focused option for existing DDR4 and LGA1700 hardware rather than a replacement for current DDR5 platforms.
GIGABYTE lists the motherboard as a new product. Its first BIOS was released on June 30, followed by a beta update on July 31 that improved DDR4 compatibility. Pricing and regional availability have not yet been confirmed.
