Even though NVIDIA still lists the RTX 50 series GPUs at their MSRP, you will have to pay a lot more due to the recent price hikes.
NVIDIA GPU prices have been steadily increasing over the past months, and it's no longer a surprise to find most RTX 50 series GPUs way above their MSRPs. Recently, the company introduced another hike, which is why we saw vendors increasing the RTX 50 series GPU prices by 20-40% . If you have been wondering whether this price adjustment has affected the current GPU market, then the answer is yes.
Tom's Hardware has prepared a report after having tracked the prices of each GPU model in the US. Back in June, the median price of GPUs was already noticeably higher thanMSRP. However, in just two months, the new median prices have totally surprised us. As per the listings, even the cheapest RTX 50 series card has crossed the $300 mark while it launched for $249.

The mid-range RTX 50 series cards appear to have been affected drastically. While the RTX 5070 Ti median price remained stagnant in this period, the RTX 5060, RTX 5060 Ti, and RTX 5070 saw a huge increment in median prices. The RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB particularly was the most affected model, reaching as high as 139% compared to June, followed by the RTX 5070 with a 136% median price.
It's obvious from this change that mid-range GPUs are the most popular ones since the masses cannot afford the more expensive RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 cards. Interestingly, even the 8 GB GPUs like the RTX 5060 also saw a noticeable price hike in recent months, reaching 127% of the June levels. When you compare that to the actual MSRP, you will find a drastic 57% change.
The RTX 5090 remains the most affected model in the whole family, followed by the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB. Almost every GPU saw a huge price change compared to the pre-RAMpocalypse era, and it's about to get worse.
