Minisforum Launches Elite Mini M2 Air-304 Wildcat Lake Mini PC Barebone At $263; Supports Up To 64 GB DDR5 RAM And 2 TB SSD Configuration

One more entry-level mini PC hits the market, but it gets expensive as you add more RAM and storage to the configuration.

Minisforum is rapidly expanding its mini PC catalog by launching new mini PC models, featuring AMD and Intel's latest platforms. The company has now introduced its second mini PC based on Intel's Wildcat Lake platform, after having showcased the M2 Pro two months ago . The new mini PC is called Elite Mini M2 Air-304 , with the name reflecting the SKU of the processor at its core.

The Elite Mini M2 Air-304 is an ultra-compact mini PC where Minisoforum crammed all the hardware inside a 0.47-liter chassis. This makes it easily portable as well as easy to store, positioning it as a great solution for modern workspaces and small businesses. The mini PC runs on the Intel Core Ultra 3 304 processor, which is the only Wildcat Lake CPU with a 1+4 core configuration, including one performance Cougar core and three Darkmont LP-E cores.

The processor can boost up to a good 4.3 GHz, delivering solid performance on a budget while remaining absolutely power-efficient, generating less heat. As far as the configuration is concerned, the system supports DDR5 memory and PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs as well as a TF card for further storage expansion.

An open mini-PC case highlights 'DDR5,' 'M.2 SSD,' a slot for 'TF Card,' and specifications including '1 × DDR5 SODIMM/CSODIMM' and '1 × M.2 2280 NVME SSD.'

Minisforum says that the mini PC is quite efficient for "long-hour" use when the system is put in Balanced Mode. At full load, the mini PC remains quiet as well, generating as little as 28.1 dB of noise in Quiet Mode. For connectivity, it will be a great addition to the desk, supporting up to a triple 4K display configuration, thanks to 2x HDMI 2.0 and USB4 ports available at the I/O. Moreover, it brings dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports for blazing-fast internet connectivity and offers PD support through the USB4 interface.

Pricing-wise, the Elite Mini M2 Air-304 is priced at $263 for the Barebones edition, but is also available with 16 GB DDR5 RAM and a 500 GB SSD at a price tag of $559 .
