AMD has officially raised the MSRP/SEP prices of its Radeon RX 9000 GPUs in Q3 2026, with the RX 9070 XT now costing more than $1000 on average.
Retailers and Distributors in China had warned us of an imminent price hike , & when we initially reported the increases, the harshest price increases were seen for NVIDIA GPUs. AMD Radeon graphics cards also saw a price bump, but it wasn't as significant as their competitor. Now, a few weeks later, AMD has issued its official notification of a price increase, and it looks like Q3 2026 is going to be its biggest price bump yet.
As per the notification, all AMD Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards based on the RDNA 4 GPU, and a few older models that are still popular, will be seeing a price bump. The price increases range anywhere from 5% to 20%. Prices were already above MSRP for most models, & with the latest price adjustment, they will further dent the PC gaming segment, as users will now have to pay much more to get a graphics card from either camp (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel).

Starting with the price increases, the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT sees the biggest increase of over 20%. The card had an official MSRP of 5599 RMB ($830) but has now been adjusted to 6999 RMB ($1037), and that's just the reference price; most premium models retail for much higher prices.
The Radeon RX 9070 sees a 7.14% bump from 5199 RMB ($770) to 5599 RMB ($830), while the RX 9070 GRE sees a 13.05% bump from 3999 RMB ($592) to 4599 RMB ($680).
Now there's no reason stated as to why the RX 9070 Non-XT has a smaller bump versus the GRE variant, but one thing to note is that the RX 9070 was already selling close to the 9070 XT prices, so with the new price bump, it will now be priced at the same level as the older MSRP of the 9070 XT. That pushes the price one tier higher. The RX 9070 GRE stays below the Non-XT despite a larger bump because it carries 12 GB VRAM versus 16 GB on the XT and Non-XT cards.
For the Radeon RX 9060 series, the biggest price bump is once again on the 16 GB 9060 XT, which sees a 16.28% increase from 3599 RMB to 4299 RMB, which is now very close to the 9070 GRE. The 9070 GRE is an obvious choice when it comes to gaming performance, but for some, the 16 GB on the 9060 XT might be more enticing.
The 8 GB 9060 XT also sees a big bump of 12.91%, from 2699 RMB to 3099 RMB. Older models like the Radeon RX 7650 GRE are also adjusted with a 5.60% bump. Since these models are popular in the mainstream segment in China, a lot of users will now have to pay a higher price to get them.
As for the big question of when these prices will enter US/EU regions, it usually takes 1-2 weeks before the global markets are affected. Following our initial RTX 50 price bump story at the end of July in China, the US prices saw a massive increase in the following weeks. These are still ongoing, and we expect the same for Radeon GPUs. In a few weeks, don't be surprised if you are seeing the same RX 9000 GPUs being listed for several hundred dollars more than they were last time you checked.
