KTC M27P6S gets twice the Mini-LED zones of M27P6 and a glossy coating
KTC is preparing the M27P6S, an updated version of its 27-inch M27P6 Mini-LED gaming monitor. The new model keeps the same dual-mode configuration with 4K at 160Hz and Full HD at 320Hz, but upgrades the backlight and panel coating.
Twice as many Mini-LED dimming zones
According to TFTCentral, the M27P6S increases the number of local dimming zones from 1,152 on the M27P6 to 2,304. The monitor also switches to a 0% haze glossy “Obsidian” coating instead of the more common matte finish. The underlying display is a 27-inch AU Optronics Fast IPS panel with a 3840×2160 resolution.
© KTC The display runs at 160Hz at its native 4K resolution. Dual-mode operation allows users to switch to 1920×1080 at 320Hz. KTC specifies a 2ms GtG response time, while its Singapore product page lists up to 320Hz with Adaptive Sync support.
The Mini-LED backlight is rated for up to 1,400 nits in HDR and the monitor carries VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification. TFTCentral also reports 550 nits SDR brightness, 99% DCI-P3, 97% Adobe RGB and 99% sRGB coverage, with factory calibration targeting Delta E below 2.
© KTC Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Type-C with 65W power delivery. KTC also includes a USB 3.0 hub and KVM functionality. The stand supports height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustment.
US and European pricing not confirmed
KTC already has an official M27P6S listing on its Singapore website, but the model has not appeared on the company’s US store yet. Current price is 636 SGD which is about 500 USD.
