Korean RTX 50 sales data shows price increases of up to 40.9% since January
Danawa has published new pricing data for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 series in South Korea. The comparison site says the RTX 5090 recorded the largest increase between January and August, with prices rising 40.9%. Most other Blackwell models also ended August above their January levels.
According to Danawa’s sales data, the RTX 5070 Ti increased by 10.7%, while the RTX 5080 and RTX 5060 were both up 9.1%. The RTX 5070 increased by 5.8% and the RTX 5050 by 4.3%. The RTX 5060 Ti was the exception, ending the period 4.1% below its January level. However, this listing appears to include both 8GB and 16GB models, and the former has seen a price decrease due to low interest.
RTX 5090 shows the largest increase
Danawa’s monthly trend charts show that RTX 5090 pricing accelerated around June and remained elevated through July and August. RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti pricing changed less over the same period, although both finished August above January levels. Danawa says its charts use actual sales data collected between January and August.

RTX 5070 pricing peaked early in the year before declining and later recovering, while the RTX 5060 Ti dropped after the first few months and has yet to return to its January level. RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 prices remained comparatively stable but were still higher in August than at the start of the year.
Danawa warns about another possible increase
Danawa also cites industry expectations that RTX 50 series graphics card prices could increase by up to another 30% starting this month. It attributes the pressure to higher prices for TSMC advanced-process wafers and GDDR7 memory, while also claiming that some manufacturers are adjusting shipments or considering price increases. Danawa says higher-end models may see larger increases.
NVIDIA has not announced new official pricing for the GeForce RTX 50 series. The company has mostly remained silent on recent price increases and has not issued a statement addressing them. At the same time, NVIDIA’s social media accounts continue to promote new in-house open-weight AI models designed to run on consumer hardware.
