Google seems to have had a wake up call after its ongoing travails with Gemini 3.5 Pro, and is now trying to rapidly gain the ground it lost by doubling down on its Flash-class models, as it seems to have done just today by debuting the Gemini 3.7 Flash, and that too merely three weeks after unveiling the Gemini 3.6 Flash.

Google claims that Gemini 3.7 Flash is its most intelligent workhorse model yet for coding and agents. The model is currently available through the end of 2026 at an introductory price of $0.75 per 1 million tokens of input and $3.75 per 1 million tokens of output, which is at a 50 percent discount to Gemini 3.6 Flash's API price of $7.50 per 1 million tokens of output .

What's more, Google seems to have implemented substantial improvements, as indicated by the fact that Gemini 3.7 Flash has garnered 20th spot on the Agent Arena vs. 35th for Gemini 3.6 Flash.

What's more, Gemini 3.7 Flash scores 65.5 percent on DeepSWE, which is an 18.8 percent higher score relative to 3.6 Flash, and that too while costing half as much.

Overall, Google has shown substantial improvement, which might go some way to overcome the recurring launch delays for Gemini 3.5 Pro, which has supposedly fallen short of Google's internal goals.
