The developer of Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone says Valve may be close to announcing the Steam Frame launch date. ANB_Seth made the comment in the game’s official Discord while answering a question about his own release plans.

When asked whether Gunman Contracts now has a launch date, the developer explained that he and publisher 2080 Games decided to release the game alongside Steam Frame. He added that they feel confident that a Steam Frame launch date is “just around the corner.”

Q: Is there now a Launch Date?

A: Kinda. Me and 2080 Games have decided to launch together with Steam Frame. And we do feel confident that a launch date for Frame is just around the corner. But as long as valve has not announced any public information on it, so can’t I. So for now, the launchdate is: Alongside Steam Frame.” The “so can’t I” part is really interesting…

ANB_Seth did not reveal a date and said he could not provide information before Valve makes its plans public. Separately, 2080 Games has now confirmed that Gunman Contracts will launch alongside Steam Frame and will support SteamVR-compatible headsets at release. The Steam listing still shows the game as “Coming soon,” with ANB_Seth as developer and 2080 Games as publisher.

Valve still says Steam Frame is shipping this summer

Valve has not announced an exact Steam Frame release date or retail price. Its Steamworks update from June still says Steam Frame is “shipping this summer,” the same schedule given for Steam Machine. Valve has also expanded its Verified program with Steam Frame compatibility ahead of the headset’s release.

The developer’s comment does not confirm that Valve has privately provided 2080 Games with a launch date. However, the decision to coordinate the game’s release with Steam Frame suggests the publisher expects Valve’s remaining launch details soon. For now, Valve’s summer release window remains the only official timing.
