Total War: WARHAMMER III Drops its Largest-Ever DLC on September 24, and it No Longer Requires the Base Game

Publisher SEGA and developer Creative Assembly have announced that Total War: WARHAMMER III - Lords of the End Times will launch on September 24 . This DLC is the largest in the series' decade-long history , introducing four new Legendary Lords inspired by the apocalyptic End Times into the expansive Immortal Empires campaign. Alongside them come a plethora of new battlefield units and lore-driven features, complemented by a transformative free update.

Each Legendary Lord offers a unique strategic gameplay experience rooted in Warhammer lore, according to Creative Assembly. They include Nagash , the Supreme Lord of the Undead, who aims to drain life from the world and achieve godhood; Boris Todbringer , the Elector Count of Middenland, who fights to revive the flame of Ulric in defense of the Empire; the Glottkin , who spreads Nurgle’s grotesque gardens across the land; and Thanquol , who devises sinister plots through his clever master plans.

Joining each Legendary Lord in battle are some of the most impressive characters and units the series has ever seen, including the Khemric Titan , a massive, magically animated scarab-like construct; The Verminlords , formidable daemonic embodiments of the Great Horned Rat; Putrid Blight Kings , a decaying elite brotherhood swarming with daemonflies; and The Celestial Hurricanum , a magical war altar infused with the eight winds of magic.

For the first time in the series, purchasing the Lords of the End Times content, whether as a bundle or individually, grants access to the massive Immortal Empires campaign without needing to own any Total War: WARHAMMER game , making it an excellent entry point for newcomers.

Lords of the End Times also marks the arrival of one of the largest free game updates in the series' history. At the forefront of this patch is the Vampire Queen Neferata , serving as a Legendary Lord. This update also includes a comprehensive rework for the Vampire Counts and Archaon the Everchosen , brand new End Game Scenarios , refreshed Victory Conditions for each legacy Legendary Lord, and a plethora of additional features.

You won't have to buy the whole DLC bundle if you don't want to. Here's the official pricing table from Steam :
