One of the first AnTuTu performance results surrounding the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro is here, with the score showing a little over 20 percent increase compared to the fastest Android smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 . Of course, it should be noted that the scores can improve or degrade depending on various factors, so let us discuss those details below.
The initial score was uploaded by Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, showing that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro overall obtained 4,835,412 points, making it 20.7 percent higher than the fastest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered flagship, which is the REDMAGIC 11 Pro, which is currently the top of AnTuTu’s leaderboard with 4,005,248 points.
When comparing both results, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro has successfully gained on both the CPU and GPU side, but its Adreno 850 graphics processor offered a bigger performance uplift, suggesting that the previous rumors talking about a major upgrade over the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 weren’t throwing around exaggerated claims.

In addition to sporting 18MB of graphics memory, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro also gets exclusive support for improved upscaling and frame generation , both of which will be advantageous when running the more taxing games on the chipset. Coming to the CPU, both upcoming 2nm chipsets will feature a new 2 + 3 + 3 cluster , which could have been one of the primary contributors to the improved AnTuTu results.

However, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro has been rumored to be tested with clock speeds of 5.00GHz for the performance cores, which won’t just improve the AnTuTu scores but also increase Geekbench 7’s single-core and multi-core results. Overall, it’s a decent showing from Qualcomm’s latest and greatest, though, like the REDMAGIC 11 Pro, the addition of a beefier vapor chamber, dedicated liquid cooling loop, and active fan could result in even higher scores.
