While confirming that the game will offer a complete on-disc experience, Reiner-Reed is encouraging gamers to download the patch anyway. Insomniac's perfectionistic approach to development means the update could tweak and improve the game considerably, as the developers are still busy polishing it just a month before its official release.

Physical releases are suddenly all the rage among gamers after Sony shared plans to stop making physical games starting in 2028.
