GIGABYTE launches 240Hz QD-OLED panel

GIGABYTE has announced availability of the MO32U24, a 32-inch gaming monitor based on a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. The display also supports a 0.03 ms GtG response time and carries VESA ClearMR 13000 certification.
The MO32U24 uses what GIGABYTE calls Advanced ObsidianShield film. According to the company, the coating improves perceived black levels by up to 40% under ambient lighting compared with previous implementations. The panel also uses a 3H surface coating, which GIGABYTE claims provides 2.5 times higher scratch resistance.
4K QD-OLED with DisplayHDR True Black 500
The monitor covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500. GIGABYTE also includes its HyperNits feature, which increases HDR brightness when the display is operating in Peak 1300 mode. Users can select High or Medium settings depending on their preferred brightness level.

For SDR content, the MO32U24 includes an AI Picture Mode that automatically changes picture settings depending on the displayed content. Gaming features include Tactical Switch 2.0 for switching screen size and aspect ratio, Ultra Clear motion processing and AI Black Equalizer for increasing visibility in darker areas.
Fanless cooling and OLED protection
GIGABYTE uses a fanless cooling design with a graphene thermal film. The monitor also supports AI OLED Care, which handles panel maintenance intended to reduce the risk of permanent image retention. Other features include TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light and flicker-free operation, along with an OLED VRR Anti-Flicker mode that adjusts the variable refresh rate range.
GIGABYTE says the MO32U24 is now available, with retail pricing already appearing in several markets. The monitor is listed at $999.99 in the US, while European pricing starts at around €849 and UK retailers list it for £799.99.
