Beast of Reincarnation NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR Frame Generation Support Will Come Soon, While 2nd Patch Delivers More Community Requests

Shortly after Beast of Reincarnation 's release earlier this month on PC , PlayStation 5 , Xbox Series X , and Xbox Series S , Game Freak and Fictions vowed to fix the game's biggest shortcomings . Following the weekly patch release schedule established by Pearl Abyss with Crimson Desert , a second patch has now gone live, introducing even more fan requests such as camera improvements and subtitle size adjustment options and promising even more for the future.

The new Beast of Reincarnation patch, which is now live on all formats, shows how Game Freak and Fictions have taken player feedback to heart, as it introduces some changes that were highly requested by the community, including new camera distance options, camera adjustments in and out of combat, and subtitle size adjustment options.

  • Added player camera distance options: Close, Medium, and Far.
  • Various further adjustments to the player camera, both in and out of combat.
  • Camera adjustments will continue as needed in future updates.
  • Adjusted certain in-game cinematic camera cuts.

Besides the improvements above, Beast of Reincarnation also got a few more very welcome improvements , including more objective markers in the early story to make navigation easier and some other general balance changes. However, the changes that are set to make the most difference, in my opinion, are surrounding enemy attacks getting interrupted during Execution, Execution Assist, Assassination, and Assassination Assist animations.

In my first playthrough of the game, I lost count of how much I was forced to take damage after performing Executions, as Emma doesn't recover quickly enough to avoid attacks right after them. This should make the experience much more fair and ultimately more fun.

The two patches released so far are only the beginning for the game, as Game Freak and Fictions are promising much more to come. Besides NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR Frame Generation support to smooth performance, the developers are working on skippable events and cutscenes, ultrawide monitor support, changes to healing, and more. The full details on the 1.0.8 patch and future improvements can be found on Steam .

To be fair, I thoroughly enjoyed Beast of Reincarnation even in its launch state and with its issues. However, as the community hasn't been as forgiving as I have been for them, these changes are more than welcome to make more players enjoy what I still believe to be a solid action RPG with a very interesting combat system mixing action and turn-based mechanics.
