The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's (TSMC) Arizona facility continues to grow its share of revenue and profit for the entire group, according to data from Bank of America. TSMC's Arizona campus houses its most advanced production lines in America, and since the project started, multiple voices have raised concerns about the higher costs of construction in America.
TSMC's Arizona facility currently includes three phases, out of which the first phase is operational. This phase is responsible for semiconductors manufactured through the 4-nanometer chip process technology. Recent reports have suggested that the Arizona site is making AI GPUs for NVIDIA, and with TSMC's high-end packaging capacity still centered in Taiwan, the chips are flown to the island region for the final step in their production.
The second and third phases will manufacture more advanced chips. Phase 2 of the Arizona site will produce products relying on the 3-nanometer technology and phase three will bolster production to include the 2-nanometer and 1.6-nanometer technologies. Additionally, TSMC has also started construction on the site's first packaging facility.

Now, the orders from NVIDIA, along with Apple who was one of the facility's first customers, seem to be translating into financial statement gains. Data from Bank of America shows that after the Arizona fab first turned a profit in the first quarter of 2025, it has started to contribute more to TSMC's overall profit and revenue since then. The Arizona fab accounted for 1% of TSMC's profit in the second quarter of 2025, while its revenue was 2% of the share in the same period.
After the profit dropped in the third quarter, it has been on an upward trajectory since then. The highest share was in the first quarter of this year, with the Arizona site accounting for more than 3% of the profit and roughly a similar amount for the revenue. However, while the share of the revenue grew in the second quarter as well, the percentage contribution of the profit dropped below 3%.
In numerical terms, the Arizona site's revenue was at its highest in the second quarter as it crossed the NT$40 billion mark. However, the profit dipped and sat below NT$19 billion. TSMC's overall revenue was NT$1.2 trillion in the second quarter marking a 36% annual growth.
