AMD Rolls Out Adrenalin Edition 26.8.1, Adding Support For Radeon RX 9050 4 GB; Also Adds Support For Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

The latest graphics driver will support the newly launched GPU as well as several new upcoming titles.

AMD has released a new version of Software: Adrenalin Edition, bringing support for newer hardware and upcoming games. The Adrenalin Edition 26.8.1 has officially added support for the AMD Radeon RX 9050 4 GB GPU , which launched recently, and has added three titles to its database before their official launch.

The new driver should now recognize the RX 9050 4 GB GPU properly. The RX 9050 launched recently in two flavors: 4 GB and 8 GB. The 8 GB version was added to the database with Adrenalin Edition 26.7.1 , and with v26.8.1, both GPUs have been fully supported by the AMD graphics driver.

RX 9050 is the slowest RDNA 4-based discrete GPU that features 16 Compute Units, 4 GB/8 GB GDDR6 VRAM through 64-bit/128-bit memory bus. AMD has promised 60+ FPS in modern titles with this GPU when the resolution is set to 1080p and the graphical presets are set to Medium.

Apart from adding new hardware support, AMD has also added support for upcoming games like Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and STAR WARS Zero Company. Moreover, the graphics driver will now fully support Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta Early Access, which will run from August 21 to August 25.

AMD has also fixed a few bugs that were causing problems on RX 7000 and RX 9000 series graphics cards. This includes fixes in games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Marvel Rivals, and Subnautica 2. Those who want to upgrade their Adrenalin driver to the latest version can download v26.8.1 from the official AMD website .
