The 4GB model also has half the Infinity Cache

AMD has finally published the full specifications of the Radeon RX 9050 4GB. The card first appeared through ASRock last month , but AMD did not provide a dedicated product page for this configuration at launch.
The 4GB model received its first direct listing from AMD yesterday with the Radeon Software Adrenalin 26.8.1 driver . The release notes specifically list the “ AMD Radeon RX 9050 4GB ” under new product support. AMD has now followed this with a dedicated product page containing the complete specifications.
8GB vs 4GB model
The GPU configuration itself is unchanged from the Radeon RX 9050 8GB. Both models feature 16 Compute Units, 1,024 Stream Processors, 16 Ray Accelerators and 32 AI Accelerators. AMD also lists the same 1,920 MHz game clock, boost frequency of up to 2,600 MHz and 92W Typical Board Power.
© AMD Memory and Infinity Cache affected
The main changes are all connected to memory. The Radeon RX 9050 4GB uses 18 Gbps GDDR6 across a 64-bit interface , providing 144 GB/s of bandwidth. The standard 8GB model has a 128-bit interface and 288 GB/s bandwidth. AMD has therefore cut both memory capacity and bandwidth by exactly half.
AMD has also confirmed that Infinity Cache is reduced from 32MB on the 8GB card to 16MB on the 4GB version . This detail was not available from ASRock’s original listing, which already confirmed the 4GB capacity and 64-bit bus. ASRock first revealed the 4GB Challenger alongside its 8GB model on July 28.
The Radeon RX 9050 4GB remains an OEM product rather than a normal retail graphics card. AMD previously confirmed that this configuration was developed for a partner system and that there were no plans to offer it separately. The 8GB Radeon RX 9050 is the standalone version, with availability limited to selected regions.
