Qualcomm has not announced its next flagship Snapdragon chip yet, but engineering samples are already showing up in China. Two processors marked SM8975-100-BC were briefly listed on Goofish before the listing disappeared.

SM8975 is expected to become the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro . The seller claimed the chips were engineering samples removed from test boards and offered them for repair or rework.

The listing showed a placeholder price of 300 CNY, around $42, although the actual price was negotiable. Photos also revealed the physical package and what appears to be an integrated heat-spreading component above the silicon.

Previous leaks have linked SM8975 with TSMC’s 2nm process, a 2+3+3 Oryon CPU configuration and support for LPDDR5X and LPDDR6 memory. Qualcomm has not confirmed these specifications.

Qualcomm recently teased two upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite chips ahead of Snapdragon Summit 2026. The event begins on September 22, so these samples have appeared about a month before the official reveal.
