Acer pairs Ryzen 7 8700F with Radeon RX 9070 XT in new Nitro 30

Acer has released a new Nitro 30 gaming desktop in Japan. The system combines AMD’s Ryzen 7 8700F processor with a Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB graphics card inside a compact 28-liter chassis. I would argue with the choice of the processor though.
The Japanese N30-100-F73Z97X configuration uses the 8-core and 16-thread Ryzen 7 8700F alongside 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. Acer pairs this hardware with an 850W 80 PLUS Gold power supply.
Acer’s own Radeon RX 9070 XT
The desktop uses Acer’s Nitro Radeon RX 9070 XT rather than a card from another board partner. Acer lists the GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, 304W total board power and a clock of up to 2970 MHz. The card uses three FrostBlade 4.0 fans.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Gigabit Ethernet, one USB Type-C port and eight USB Type-A ports. Display connectivity from the GPU includes three DisplayPort outputs and one HDMI.

Acer is selling this configuration in Japan for ¥588,000 including tax. At current exchange rates, that converts to approximately $3,702 or €3,166. I think that’s a crazy price for a system that has an 8700F inside, an APU that doesn’t even have full PCIe 5.0×16 specs (the APU is limited to 4.0×8).
