User Receives GPU With Broken HDMI Port And Missing Screws From GIGABYTE Service Center; Manager Says “Missing Screw Is Common”

A customer reported how a GIGABYTE service center in Delhi tried to evade the accountability after breaking the GPU's HDMI port.

Redditor u/ColdBranch4491 complains that he was having some issues with his GIGABYTE RTX 4060 Ti. The GPU reportedly had a no-display issue, and therefore, he decided to visit his nearest GIGABYTE service center branch. This particular branch is located in Nehru Place market, New Delhi, known as one of the largest Asian markets for PC hardware.

According to the official receipt, GIGABYTE's service center acknowledged the no-display issue and tried to fix the card. However, when the user got his GPU back, he discovered a "broken" HDMI port as well as some screws missing. In the video, the representative can be seen claiming he "tried to repair" the card, and in the process, the HDMI port broke and the screws went missing.

I gave my Gigabyte RTX 4060 Ti (Model: GV-N406TGAMING OC-8GD | SN: 4719331313456SN233841027370) to the Nehru Place Service Centre on 01-08-2026 for a "No Display" issue.

RMA No: DE1-2680021

Intake Condition on Official Receipt: "NO DISPLAY, PART RUSTED, TRY FOR SAME VGA CARD REPAIR AND RETURN"

Notice that there was NO MENTION of any broken HDMI port or missing screws on the receipt when I handed it over.

What Went Wrong at the Service Centre:

When I went to collect the GPU after service, I was shocked to see:

The HDMI port was physically broken.

Multiple assembly screws were missing from the card.

When I confronted the staff, their technician admitted on video recording that the HDMI port was damaged and the screws were missed/misplaced by them while handling/servicing the card.

The Service Centre Manager's Response & Cover-up:

Instead of taking responsibility for proper repair or replacement:

The manager casually claimed that "a missing screw is common" and tried to brush it off as Customer Induced Damage (CID).

Later, the manager replaced the missing screws and repaired/replaced the HDMI port externally, sending me photos via email.

However, the GPU is now completely DEAD / NO DISPLAY.

After some conversation, GIGABYTE service center reportedly fixed the broken HDMI port and got back the screws, which it lost during the assembly. However, the user claims that the GPU is now completely dead and has the same no Display problem. He tried talking to the manager, and he reportedly told him that "a missing screw is common". Moreover, he tried to evade the issue by calling it a "customer induced damage".

The user has now escalated the issue with GIGABYTE, and has submitted his proofs, including the video recordings at the GIGABYTE service center. Just recently, we heard another blunder that occurred inside GIGABYTE's GPU assembly factory, which reportedly left the protective film on the VRM thermal pads, resulting in GPU degradation .
