The company has just prepared a dedicated page for its slowest RDNA 4 discrete GPU, revealing all of its specifications.
AMD Radeon RX 9050 4 GB Page Confirms New Memory Configuration, Featuring a Reduced Memory Bus Width and Bandwidth
AMD has finally prepared the product page for one of its newest RDNA 4 GPUs. The company recently introduced its weakest RDNA 4 RX 9000 graphics card called Radeon RX 9050 , which launched in two flavors. The first one is the RX 9050 with 8 GB of memory, and the other one is the Radeon RX 9050 4 GB. While both models share the same name, they have drastically different memory configurations.
While the RX 9050 4 GB also boasts the same 16 Compute Units and 1024 Stream Processors, the major difference between the 4 GB and 8 GB editions is the memory configuration. The RX 9050 4 GB page has gone live on AMD.com after the company gave it official support in Adrenalin Edition 26.8.1 .

Now that the product page is live, we can see that AMD has drastically nerfed the memory configuration for the 4 GB card. The GPU uses just 4 GB of GDDR6 memory through a 64-bit bus, which is half of the 128-bit bus on the 8 GB card. This reduces the overall memory bandwidth to just 144 GB/s , while the 8 GB card enjoys 288 GB/s.

Apart from the reduced size and bandwidth, the card also boasts half the Infinity cache. AMD has reduced the 32 MB Infinity cache on the RX 9050 8 GB to just 16 MB on the 4 GB version. This further forces the card to rely more on the physical memory bus, resulting in slower performance. 4 GB is already too low for modern titles, and the card should be significantly slower at higher resolutions.
That said, the RX 9050 4 GB strictly remains an OEM-exclusive while the 8 GB GPU will be available in a few regions as a standalone product.
