The Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to three scientists. Syukuro Manabe of the U.S. and Japan and Klaus Hasselmann of Germany were cited for their work in the physical modelling of Earth's climate, while Giorgio Parisi of Italy won for his work to explain disorder in physical systems.
